Ok so it was a wet and rainy day but stopped in for lunch on recommendation of a random couple on the street and they were right. Friendly staff. Amazing food. The chowder was hot!! And tasted great. Service was fast. The crab cakes came with rhubarb chutney. Soooo good. Highly recommend.
Amazing fish cakes and beans (very sweet beans, which I LOVE)! Coffee was extra, not included in the meal. Loved the smoked salmon as well! The French toasts were ok, though I loved the fact that it came with Nova Scotia maple syrup. Excellent service and view!
Hands down, the best breakfast we had while in Nova Scotia! Stopped in around 10am on a Sunday in September and managed to get seated right away, no small feat, there was a line out the door when we left! Wait staff were very efficient and friendly. My husband ordered 'The Bennie's Atlantic' (Poached eggs w/ hollandaise and smoked salmon over organic ciabatta), he is still talking about it! I had the Open Faced Breakfast Sandwich, which sounds ordinary, but it was delicious! Thoroughly enjoyed our visit, if the weather is nice you can sit on their deck overlooking the harbor. Forgive my photo skills, I always forget to take the pic until after we've started!
Great place! Beautiful view, good food and super friendly service! It’s one of not many places open for breakfast, could be some waiting time, but it worth it!
We had a wonderful time. The service was great and the food was delicious. Eden was pleasure to have serve us. She was happy to serve us as well and said we topped her day. She had a customer who dropped their wrap on the floor and was irate that she would not give her a replacement...come on people, it's not a massive chain restaurant. Treat people kindly! Yes they are there to serve you, and clean up after you, but not to heap your ... on! Thanks Eden! I only have one issue, the menu says, and I quote, "Please advise your server when ordering of any alergies so that we can try and accommodate your needs". I tried to order some peanut allergies and they looked at me very confused like. What's the deal?
Fast paced but efficient, very busy cafe, especially for breakfast. The staff were constantly busy and attentive to the customers. Food was well cooked as requested ( over hard eggs ) The deck view is fantastic if one can get a seat out on the deck.
Fresh tasting fish with a beautiful bun, and nice coleslaw. Staff are very friendly and the porch, although small, is very nice. Shaded and overlooks the dock The toast for breakfast was nicely toasted with the perfect amount of butter. The side of jam was tasty as well
Absolutely wonderful customer service and truly DELICIOUS food!!! I had the card fish cake and my friend had the smoked salmon. Both were 10 out of 10. And to finish off, we had the famous from and raisin cake which was to die for! So thanks to other reviewers who recommended it! The view of the waters is beautiful from here. Looking forward to coming back again!
